Kingston is a popular tourist destination in the summer and offers a variety of accomodation options. We have reserved a number of rooms on the Queen's University campus for conference participants. These rooms are of hotel quality and are more affordable compared to summer hotel rates in Kingston. Participants are encouraged to book their accomodations early.
Queen's Campus Residences (near conference venue)
We are holding a room block for a number of units at the Smith House on campus from Tuesday the 21 August to Saturday 25 August . The climate controlled premium units are available for $109 per night for two adjoined rooms ($54.50 per person!). The building is a short walking distance to the conference venue, the lakefront, and downtown Kingston. Students are encouraged to take advantage of this accommodation option. Rooms will be secured for conference guests until Saturday 7 July 2018, so please book early.

Travelling to Kingston
Kingston is conveniently located within 200-300 km of three of Canada's major cities: Ottawa, Toronto, and Montreal. Flights arrive at Kingston's Norman Rogers airport with service from Toronto's Pearson international airport. Attendees may also choose to fly to Ottawa, Montreal or Toronto. Train service to Kingston arrives at the Kingston VIA Rail station with train service from Ottawa, Montreal, and Toronto. Bus service arrives at the John Counter Blvd Bus Terminal with service from Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, and Toronto Pearson international airport. Taxis typically cost $15-20 to downtown Kingston or Queen's University from the airport, train station or bus station.
