E H Thompson Award 2018

We are delighted to report that Christian Kehl is the recipient of the Photogrammetric Record's 2018 E H Thompson Award for his article "Automatic illumination-invariant image-to-geometry registration in outdoor environments" (Photogrammetric Record, 32 (158): 93-118). The award is made by the Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society (RSPSoc) to the author of the paper judged to contribute the highest originality and value to photogrammetry over a single year of the journal's publication.

Congratulations to Christian, who successfully defended his PhD in the VOG Group in autumn 2017, working on the VOM2MPS project.
